The artist known as Sainer may perhaps be better known for his work on gigantic murals with the Etam Cru. However, Sainer is able to prove his artistic credentials on a much smaller scale as well. For these pieces the artist trades his aerosol can for acrylic paint and a set of brushes. Still, Sainer’s specific style comes through, whether on canvas or a wall. The artist’s attention to the figure and its anatomy as well as a penchant for bright color rings through as familiar. These pieces, though, with their painterly hand and smaller size convey have a special intimacy.
